    Goodness

    2018-09-15

SMV: “I call to God, the Most High, to God who supplies my every need”. Psalms 57:2

Goodness is a word I use a lot in my everyday life, but what does it actually mean?

Nowadays people take “good” people for granted. “Goodle-two-shoes” is what they call those who go by the rules and who try to do good things to help others – which are the kind of people God wants us to be! But the world has painted that image in a negative way and it is against to the world good itself.

Let’s understand the definition of goodness by God. God has already measured the standard for it, we just have to understand it, accept it, and reach for it. Read Psalm 31: 19 “Oh, how abundat is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You and worked for those who take refuge in You, in the sight of the children of mankind!

What most Christians don’t realize is that showing goodness is being active in helping people. In Jesus’ life time here on Earth, He personally help the sick and would stay and teach about the Kingdom of God to the People for days and pray on their behalf. He wouldn’t send someone else, He would go to do it himself!

Learning from Jesus, living the “good” life should be one of our highest goals in life. Being good means living a life filled with the highest callings and highest values.

    Prayer:

Lord, let me receive Your goodness today so that I may work through You and show goodness to Your people. Father, give me strength as I spread the good Word of Your unfailing love and goodness. Help me to grow better and better every day in You! Amen.
