    He is Risen

    Celeberate The Ressurection

“Heis risen? Sure?”That's how Thomas might have responded if He had lived in our day. "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands, and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it.”

Now, let us take a look at caterpillars. All caterpillars do is to crawl and eat all the time. They eat and eat until one day they stopped their crawling and chewing, attached their tails firmly to a stick and lay still, fully covered with a shiny leather-like case. For weeks they seemed to be dead in their cacoon. Then one by one, the cacoon

began to twist and turn violently until suddenly split open. A beautiful butterfly emerged. It stood for hours gently moving its wings, pumping fluids into them to extend them fully. Then the butterfly soared gracefully away on the breezes of summer, leaving nothing behind but a broken cacoon to indicate its former bondage.

The cacoons & butterfly suggest the empty graveclothes of our risen Lord. When Peter & John heard the news that the Lord's body was gone from the garden tomb, they ran all the way from their lodging. Peter entered the tomb and "he saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen" (John 20:6-7, NIV). The empty grave and cloth that laid on the stone proved that the dead body had risen in life.

Because Jesus is alive, people can encounter him today. You can know him through a personal relationship. I can point to many people who can testify what Jesus has done in their lives, bringing them peace and joy and meaning.

If you want to meet this risen Jesus like Peter, John and Thomas, repeat this prayer:

“Lord Jesus, i believe You have risen. I believe everything that is written in the bible. I want to see you like Peter, John & Thomas had. Open my eyes and cleanse my sins so that that i can see you Lord. In Jesus Name I pray, amen.”
